Anker SOLIX F3800 Power System

The Solix f3880 is not a viable off grid unit.
After using it for a couple months I have found it draws to much power on standby. 70 - 80 watts to be exact. This is the same if not more than I draw on average in my home. A typical stand alone inverter will draw about 40 watts and this unit is twice that.
Do not be fooled by Cabin depot announcing this is a great off grid unit, do your home work. Sure wish I did

I am updating my fist review after using this unit for a couple months. I do not recommend it for any off grid use. As mentioned before in first review, the very limited 60 volt mppt controller's do not charge sufficiently in low light.
More surprising than this is the phantom power draw even when inverter is off, up to 30 watts! In total with unit inverting, this could be as high as 80 watts no load!
I thought I could get around this extra load by turning whole unit off ( inverter and main) but when you do this, unit will not charge.

The solux f3800 is an amazing plug and play unit but the very limited 60 volt solar input is disappointing. In low light conditions, it will not charge efficienttly. It also draws up to 80 watts no load which is twice what an average off grid power system should draw.
Don't be fooled by Cabin depots claim that this is a great off grid system. Do your homework
