I think purchasing the
SRNE (ML2440) 40 Amp MPPT Charge Controller was a good choice as it has been in use for a few weeks and is doing a good job. I charge with 300 watts of 18v PV and have two deep cycle 12v batteries. When the output voltage got run down the automatic shutoff feature worked well and I spent a little time figuring out how to reset it once the batteries recharged. So far so good!

The charge controller was functional right out of the box and well designed for easy installation. Great. Readouts of voltage and amps so no I. A monitor the functioning of my panel. Delivery to my remote, off grid location was.worry free.

Nice little unit, perfect for what I needed. Only drawback is that the instructions are a little strange sometimes being translated from chinese.
