Simple to Set Up and Use
Getting Started:
- Choose a Location: Place the composter on a firm, level surface with good drainage, ensuring easy access for filling and emptying year-round.
- Prepare the Base: Place the included liquid separation plate in the bottom and connect a drain hose if you wish to collect the seep liquid.
- Add Bulking Material: Start with a 5 cm layer of Biolan Bulking Material at the bottom before adding your first waste.
Daily Use & Maintenance:
- Filling: Empty household biowaste into the composter and always cover it with a layer of Biolan Bulking Material (typically 1/3 to 1/2 the amount of waste added).
- Mixing: Occasionally stir the top 20-30 cm of compost to aerate. It's not necessary to mix after every addition.
- Emptying: Unload small amounts of finished compost from the bottom door as needed. Empty more frequently in winter to help maintain the internal temperature.

We ordered our PV panel, battery bank and inverter set up in September 2024. There were a number of hurdles to get over and many times we worried we were not going to accomplish our dream of greater self sufficiency.

Recently added a EG4 LL battery to my existing system.
Cabin Depot was great to deal with, shipping was around a week., which is pretty good considering it was shipped across Canada.
Only delayed by 1 day but that was a UPS thing.
This battery was added to 3 existing EG4 Lifepower batteries.
Everything worked no issues at all., only thing was the communication ports are in different locations and the supplied cables are too short to reach,
No big deal.
All in all very happy and would order again

I purchased a drolet myriad III wood stove from cabin depot. Customer service was great, delivery was fast and they replied to all of my questions very quickly.
