Summum Pro 6" Storm Collar

Watertight Counter-Flashing Weather Seal for Roof Penetrations — Model SC-6SC

Protect your building against rain, snow, and moisture intrusion with the official Summum Pro 6" Storm Collar (Model #SC-6SC). Precision-engineered in Canada from heavy-gauge 304 stainless steel, this standard-profile storm collar installs directly above your roof flashing to create an impervious counter-flashing seal that deflects water away from the roof penetration joint. Designed specifically for standard roof pitches (flat up to 7/12 pitch), the collar wraps snugly around the 9-inch outer casing of Summum Pro 6" insulated chimney pipe, providing lifetime rust-free protection in harsh coastal and sub-zero climates.

Installation Tip: Position the storm collar directly above the cone of your roof flashing, leaving an approximate ¼" to ½" ventilation gap between the collar and the flashing top. Secure the mechanical adjustment tabs snugly around the chimney casing and apply a continuous bead of high-temperature exterior silicone sealant (rated for 450°F+) along the upper collar contact seam to ensure an airtight, watertight barrier.
