The Clesana C1 Round Base is a purpose-made installation accessory designed for use with the Clesana C1 toilet in caravans, motorhomes, campervans and boats where a round waste outlet configuration is required. This sturdy base plate provides a secure and solid mounting surface that helps align the toilet correctly with the vehicle’s round waste outlet, creating a neat, sealed junction between the toilet pan and the floor.
By stabilizing the toilet and helping to ensure correct alignment with the waste pipe, the C1 round base reduces flexing, vibration and potential strain on the waste connections while the vehicle is on the road — helping prolong the life of the plumbing and reduce service issues. The Clesana C1 Round Base is used during the installation of a Clesana C1 toilet in any leisure vehicle washroom where the waste exit is round (as opposed to rear or offset). Before fitting the toilet, the base plate is positioned over the cut-out in the vehicle floor that aligns with the round waste pipe or outlet.
- Prepare the floor cut-out: Ensure the opening for the waste outlet is clean and the round hole matches the vehicle’s waste pipe diameter.
- Position the round base: Place the C1 round base into position so its centre aligns with the round waste outlet.
- Seal and secure: Apply an appropriate flexible sealant around the base perimeter and secure it in place. The base creates a solid mounting surface that reduces movement and helps channel waste directly into the outlet.
- Fit the C1 toilet: Install the Clesana C1 toilet on top of the round base, making sure the toilet pan lines up with the outlet and sits flush against the base.
- Final checks: Tighten fixings and check that there’s no movement between the toilet and round base. Verify that seals are intact to help prevent odour or moisture ingress.
