The EarthScrew™ Mounting Kit is a high-performance mechanical anchoring solution designed for rapid solar deployment on dense, compacted soil. This 10-pack kit provides full structural anchoring for a 5-module BallastRack™ row, offering incredible tensile strength and simplified system leveling. Built to withstand industrial environmental loading, the EarthScrew™ system eliminates the need for heavy equipment, concrete pouring, or deep excavation, making it the premier choice for professional off-grid solar infrastructure.
Engineered Uplift Resistance
Each 30" EarthScrew™ is engineered to provide a minimum of 1,000 lbs of uplift resistance when installed in dense compacted soil. The system utilized a mechanical "bite" into the soil strata, securing the BallastRack™ base tube without ground penetration by heavy machinery. For maximum structural performance, professional installation and site-specific pullout testing are recommended.

Dense Soil Deployment Strategy
For high-density soil types, pre-drilling may be required using a standard SDS Hammer Drill and 30-inch rotary hammer bit. In extreme conditions, the anchor integrity can be further enhanced by pouring a localized concrete mix or Portland cement into the pilot hole prior to screw insertion.

To ensure your array is perfectly secure, we recommend a quick site test to verify that each EarthScrew™ reaches its 1,000 lb uplift potential. This kit is happiest in firm, compacted soil, so for the best results, we suggest avoiding soft sand or silty clay areas.

We ordered our PV panel, battery bank and inverter set up in September 2024. There were a number of hurdles to get over and many times we worried we were not going to accomplish our dream of greater self sufficiency.

Recently added a EG4 LL battery to my existing system.
Cabin Depot was great to deal with, shipping was around a week., which is pretty good considering it was shipped across Canada.
Only delayed by 1 day but that was a UPS thing.
This battery was added to 3 existing EG4 Lifepower batteries.
Everything worked no issues at all., only thing was the communication ports are in different locations and the supplied cables are too short to reach,
No big deal.
All in all very happy and would order again
