Off-Grid Pro-Tip: If your generator cranks but won't fire, listen for a distinct "click" when the ignition is engaged. If you don't hear the solenoids clicking open, check the 15A fuse and the solenoid wiring terminals for corrosion. A clean electrical connection is vital for the low-voltage coils to pull the plungers open.

When to Replace Your Solenoids
Fuel delivery failures can leave you without power. Replace the solenoids if you observe:
The engine cranks vigorously but fails to fire, and there is no smell of gas despite a full fuel supply.
The characteristic mechanical "click" of the valves opening is absent when the start sequence begins.
Using a multimeter shows an "Open Circuit" or infinite resistance across the solenoid coil terminals.
The generator intermittently stalls shortly after starting, suggesting a plunger is sticking or failing to hold open.

We ordered our PV panel, battery bank and inverter set up in September 2024. There were a number of hurdles to get over and many times we worried we were not going to accomplish our dream of greater self sufficiency.

Recently added a EG4 LL battery to my existing system.
Cabin Depot was great to deal with, shipping was around a week., which is pretty good considering it was shipped across Canada.
Only delayed by 1 day but that was a UPS thing.
This battery was added to 3 existing EG4 Lifepower batteries.
Everything worked no issues at all., only thing was the communication ports are in different locations and the supplied cables are too short to reach,
No big deal.
All in all very happy and would order again
