Rolls Water Saving Battery Vent Cap
Electrolyte Retention Flip-Top Vent — Model R-CAP
The genuine Rolls R-CAP flip-top battery vent cap is engineered by Surrette Battery Company to significantly extend routine maintenance intervals on flooded deep cycle lead-acid batteries. By integrating a specialized moisture-return medium with a hydrophobic disc, the R-CAP condenses escaping vapors and returns electrolyte directly back into the cell—reducing water loss by 50% to 60% under normal, properly regulated charging.
Featuring a convenient snap-action flip-top lid, the R-CAP enables quick hydrometer testing and distilled water top-ups without ever needing to unthread or remove the cap. Its flame- and spark-retardant barrier improves battery room safety while keeping battery tops dry and virtually free of corrosive acid mist.
- 50% to 60% Water Loss Reduction: Built-in moisture return medium and hydrophobic condensing disc continuously capture rising vapors and return water into the cell.
- No Need to Remove Caps: Flip-top design snaps open for effortless specific gravity checks and watering, snapping securely shut without misplacing caps in tight battery boxes.
- Near 100% Acid Droplet Reduction: Traps sulfuric acid droplets carried by charging gasses, eliminating wet battery tops, terminal corrosion, and tray degradation.
- Flame & Spark Retardant Protection: Internal spark-arresting barrier provides crucial safety against external electrical arcs or accidental combustion in enclosed battery spaces.
- Stabilized Electrolyte Specific Gravity: By returning liquid droplets before they escape, battery cells maintain consistent acid gravities, supporting balanced voltage and maximum deep-cycle life.
- Universal Quarter-Turn Bayonet Fit: Installs quickly on Rolls flooded deep cycle batteries (Series 4000, 4500, and 5000) as well as standard industrial and golf cart battery cells.
