The EG4 GridBOSS beats every Microgrid Interconnect Device (MID) / power gateway on the market in terms of capabilities and ratings. The GridBOSS simplifies the design and operation of complex solar installations, reducing hardware costs and installation time. Featuring four intelligent ports for AC coupling or smart load management up to 125 Amps, it consolidates multiple electrical components into a single device with a 200A service entrance rating.
The GridBOSS serves as a centralized connection point for utility power, up to three 90A hybrid inverters, four programmable smart/AC-couple ports, and a generator (up to 125 Amps). It is rated for 200 Amps for both backed-up and non-backed-up loads, ensuring seamless operation under high load conditions and continuous power to essential loads during grid outages.
When paired with the FlexBOSS21, the GridBOSS significantly reduces installation expenses by eliminating extra components and installation time, making it an efficient, cost-effective solution for whole or partial home backup and microgrid setups.

Each EG4 GridBoss unit includes:

Compatible only with the EG4 18kPV Hybrid Inverter. -
Smart Port Breakers:
Rated at 30A, 40A, 60A, and 80A.
Please Note:
- You must purchase a 90A Breaker for use with the EG4 FlexBoss21 Hybrid Inverter.
- You must purchase a 50A Breaker separately for use with the EG4 12kPV Hybrid Inverter.
- A 125A Breaker (sold separately) can be used with either the Smart Port or Gen Port.
- 200A main breaker not included (must be purchased separately; model required: Eaton 200A CSR25K. See manual for more information).
Notice:
In order for the GridBOSS to meet it's UL Certifications copper wire must be used inside the unit.

Recently added a EG4 LL battery to my existing system.
Cabin Depot was great to deal with, shipping was around a week., which is pretty good considering it was shipped across Canada.
Only delayed by 1 day but that was a UPS thing.
This battery was added to 3 existing EG4 Lifepower batteries.
Everything worked no issues at all., only thing was the communication ports are in different locations and the supplied cables are too short to reach,
No big deal.
All in all very happy and would order again
