Powerful - The KEDRON® PowerGEN 998cc liquid-cooled generator is built tough! Utilizing an automotive style 4-cylinder cast iron block engine, it easily supplies 20,000 watt (83.3A using LPG) of 120/240vAC split phase @ 60Hz clean power which means you'll satisfy the most demanding off-grid electrical loads with plenty left over for charging up your battery bank.

A note for your installer: This KEDRON PowerGEN unit has been preconfigured for off-grid use and Propane (LPG) operation. It has been fully commissioned and test operated by qualified factory technicians before being disconnected and drained of fluids before crating up for shipment. You only need to 1) ensure the generator is installed level in an adequate location respecting clearance requirements, 2) primary tank regulator is sized correctly, 3) electrical connections made per code requirements, and 4) 4L of quality synthetic engine oil and sufficient coolant is added. Gas supply connection is standard 1/2" NPT. Once all connections are made & gas pressure/leak tests are passed, simply reconnect the included battery and test run the unit. It is the installers responsibility to install this generator to satisfy any regulatory or building code requirement.
A note about installation location: If you allow snow accumulation around the enclosure, the generator may not operate. So you will either need to remove snow from the area around the enclosure after each storm, or ensure it's installed elevated above the ground. Check out our new bundle coming soon which includes a 2" concrete pad and 18" aluminum stand (both engineered & certified to CSA standards specifically for our generator to raise it off the ground safely and easily away from ground snow accumulation.

We ordered our PV panel, battery bank and inverter set up in September 2024. There were a number of hurdles to get over and many times we worried we were not going to accomplish our dream of greater self sufficiency.

Recently added a EG4 LL battery to my existing system.
Cabin Depot was great to deal with, shipping was around a week., which is pretty good considering it was shipped across Canada.
Only delayed by 1 day but that was a UPS thing.
This battery was added to 3 existing EG4 Lifepower batteries.
Everything worked no issues at all., only thing was the communication ports are in different locations and the supplied cables are too short to reach,
No big deal.
All in all very happy and would order again
