Important Installation Notes

Why Freeze Protection Matters: In cold Canadian winters, sub-zero winds can blow back down an open exhaust flue and freeze the water inside your heater's copper heat exchanger. The built-in backflow preventer flapper closes automatically when the unit isn't running to stop cold drafts.
Acidic Exhaust Resistance: Gas combustion creates acidic condensate that eats through standard stainless steel. Premium AL-294C alloy is engineered specifically to withstand these acids without pitting or pinholing.
Slope & Snow Clearance: Install horizontal vent pipes with a slight downward pitch away from the water heater to drain moisture, and mount the outside hood well above your area's maximum expected winter snowline.
