The Victron Energy MultiPlus 12/2000/80-50 120V VE.Bus is a sophisticated, multifunctional inverter/charger designed to provide reliable, true sine wave power in a single compact enclosure. Engineered for professional marine, recreational vehicle, fleet, and land-based off-grid systems, it integrates a powerful 1600W inverter, a smart 80A adaptive battery charger, and a high-speed AC transfer switch to proactively manage your electricity arrays.
This intelligent hub prevents shore power or generator overloads by adjusting charging currents dynamically through built-in PowerControl. Its advanced PowerAssist technology takes system coordination even further, supplementing shore or generator capacity with battery power to handle short-duration peak demands safely.
In the event of utility grid failures or when shore/generator sources are disconnected, the integrated transfer switch activates the inverter in less than 20 milliseconds (UPS function). This happens so quickly that sensitive microprocessors, PCs, and home electronics will continue to run without interruption.
Monitors aggregate AC loads on shore power or generators. Automatically reduces battery charging output when necessary to prevent system-wide circuit overloads.
Supports insufficient shore or generator supplies during peak load periods by drawing supplemental energy directly from the battery bank.
Maintains battery longevity utilizing "Adaptive Charge" software. Automatically optimizes Bulk, Absorption, and Float phases, and adds a fourth Storage mode for extended idle periods.
Triggers backup inverter operation in under 20 milliseconds during blackouts, keeping computers and entertainment equipment running seamlessly.
Ready for parallel expansion. Up to six MultiPlus units can run in parallel, providing up to 15kW/12kVA of output power and 420A of charging capacity.
Capable of building highly stable three-phase arrays by linking three MultiPlus inverters in parallel configurations.
System settings, cutoff voltages, and charging profiles can be adjusted quickly on-site in just a few minutes using manual physical DIP switches.
